Akita: Slopestyle / FR / 4X / FRAMESELECTOR In four cross there are situations in which a small, light full suspension frame with a simple construction will be more effective than a stiff. In the fierce, ruthless jostling, before the first turn, split seconds count- whoever brakes later, whoever gets to the rail quicker, and into it, wins. Mistakes made on a tight, obstacle-ridden trail can happen to the best and cost a lot, but complete cushioning forgives mistakes. Remember this before the start gate goes down .
Akita is a single-pivot construction with a rear wheel travel adjustable in a range of 100-140 mm, created with 4X in mind. Complete with an air damper, it will perform well in eduro, and with a steel spring on board - in a light FR. The minimalist construction guarantees low costs of frame use. The swingarm's axis of rotation works on two massive machine bearings. Placing it close to the bottom bracket ensures that the suspension does not stiffen due to pedalling. You can take advantage of the front derailleur, but if a box guide is enough for you, an ISCG assembly is at your disposal.
The main frame tube and swingarm tubes are rectangular in cross section, which exerts a positive influence on the Akita 's stiffness. The wheel hooks are armoured aluminium blocks, CNC-milled. A classic seat tube allows for the required height of the seatpost, with no need to shorten it, and the frame head is strengthened with metal plates which increase its resistance to brutal treatment. The right choice of damper is up to you. Have you chosen already?
